Fuellers have talent is a feature aimed at pointing out the talent amongst the fuellers with a Flickr account.

Every week we see interesting pictures uploaded on the Fuelmyblog Flickr Photo Group. I select a few to compile them into a collage.

This week I was inspired by texture and warmth…desperately wanting out of the winter I think…

Thank you Random Place Of Mind for sharing “What Are They” {that’s a good point…what are they?}

For more texture and warmth no better than “Rustier Mixer” and “Rusty Mixer” from Papersurfer photo stream.

The Santa competition is in full swing here on Fuelmyblog and you may have noticed Santa Hats creeping in slowly… The stakes are high – so far there are two emerging teams fighting to win the $20 Amazon vouchers.

Personal and Entertainment are both claiming to have won and bringing relentless chaos to the blog :

Fracas has her cauldron out, Daddy P has been trying to distract with mistletoe and 70Steen has been going round town with a Santa hat round her ankles…Penfold is threatening to remove everyone’s hat in a flash of Photoshop , Olga in the meantime has been working round the clock to provide hats for everyone…

On that note we have decided to upgrade the competition rules for pure entertainment reasons.

1- SylvieD has moved to stir things up in the Traveling section…( I needed a holiday)

2-We will have 6 hats in a row instead of  5 and on Sunday 8.00pm GMT the team with the most votes and hats on WILL win. Period. Hohoho…have a mince pie.

Atomic-dogmAHiya, Tango here.

I’ve been kidnapped and canoodled (sigh) but I’m back …

I’m working on a new project (details to follow) so I’ve spent the last few weeks in and out of WordPress, learning CSS and PHP and all kinds of groovy stuff. I can’t quite keep up with Penfold’s turbo learning curve but I’m having fun nonetheless.

I started Atomic-dogmA years ago on Blogger mostly because it seemed like the easiest solution for getting started. After playing around with WordPress I can see why so many people have decided to make the switch. Fracas wrote a great summary of the pros and cons of the popular solutions in her comment to one of my earlier posts. I quite like WordPress and I doubt I’ll ever go back.

But today Blogger restored my faith in Google. I needed a distraction from work so I started tweaking Atomic-dogmA and discovered Blogger’s new blogroll widget. Hooray for Google yet again!

Since it reads directly from my Google RSS reader I no longer have to maintain a separate list for my blogroll. And the snippets from each post let me keep up on the gossip in my bloggy bubble. For example, today I know that Penfold’s Emporium just released a new header (theme to follow) and launched GTZero.com, a groovy portfolio site for the talented brotherly duo. Nursemyra’s patients at the Gimcrack (PG warning) are behaving uncharacteristically well, DaddyP (uncharacteristically serious … ooooh right, it’s Sunday) is sadly saying goodbye to a remarkable woman, and Daisyfae’s boy is learning uncharacteristic life lessons from the backwoods pizza parlor.

So WordPress may be loverly, but I haven’t given up entirely on Blogger and Google’s clever ways to dominate the world’s data.

Okay, enough gossip. Back to work!
