· What’s your name?

SwitchBlade

· What’s the name of your blog?

The Bootlegger’s Chronicles: Blogged

· What’s the URL of your blog?

http://bootleggerschronicles.com/tbcblogged

· How old is your blog?

I’ve been working on the concept for the blog for about three years, however it has only been in production for almost two years.

· If you’re willing to share, how many visitors per day do you have to your blog?

I have only recently been promoting the site and the traffic has slowly risen. I would say that for now the amount of visitors per day might be around 50; give or take.

· How much time do you spend blogging every week?

Not much. I am splitting my time between building up the the blog and my main site (http://bootleggerschronicles.com) and fixing technical problems. I have also begun working on another project to tie-in both sites which I would like to have in full swing by the end of 2008.

· Is it the creative process or the editing process which take you longest when writing a post?

Definitely the editing process takes longer for me when composing posts. I am a bit of a perfection nerd and try to make things come out as close to perfect as possible.

· What inspired you to first start writing a blog?

My inspiration when I began blogging was a friend of mine who believed that my ideas should be placed in motion. She suggested I begin the main site which was geared towards one type of idea. Soon the other ideas needed to be expressed without taking away from what the first site was developing into.

· What do you do to get inspired to write?

For inspiration I let my thoughts take over. Usually ideas hit while watching TV, listening to music, or overhearing outrageous nonsense. If not near my laptop, I’ll write down my ideas or put them into some gadget near by.

· Is there anything that you simply refuse to blog about?

I don’t normally limit myself to topics, but I don’t feel the need to blog about everything everyone else does. I do what I feel like at the moment.

· If you went for a job interview and were told that you’d have to close your blog in order to get the job, how would you react/feel about it?

I would not accept the job. I would be upset that what I do on my personal time would be dictated by anyone. Unless I went after a position in a corporation that I was trashing, then I would see no need to comply with their wishes.

· Do you talk about your blog with your relatives and friends or do you avoid mentioning it?

I don’t make it a habit to talk about the blog and I don’t avoid it either. They know about it and what I say to them, I basically blog about it anyway.

· What is the biggest mistake you made when starting your blog?

None as of yet.

· Any tips for aspiring bloggers?

Be yourself! Never feel the need to conform with other people’s opinion. Also, never be afraid of conflict. This world is made up of differences and that’s what makes it awesome & suck at the same time.

· What 3 bloggers do you look up to the most?

My homegirl (Pittershawn) is the main person I admire as a blogger at this moment. I see many wonderful blogs but none that I truly can say that I admire — at least not as of today. Things may change.

· Do you still see yourself blogging in 5 years time?

I’m taking it from day to day. Hopefully it will all be a positive turn out, no matter what happens
