The good guys of social networking, Mashable, just reviewed our site, we really like the review and are honoured.
“Fuelmyblog is a community for bloggers looking to get more traffic by participating in this UK-based network.
Similar to Technorati, FuelMyBlog is a hub for blogs. Adding your blog to the network lets you participate in the community in hopes of increasing interest in your blog and getting more readers. As a visitor to the site, you’ll find several categories to choose from, from technology to fashion and books.
Viewing an information page for any of these categories shows you a page with all blogs’ icons. Scroll over any of the icons and you’ll get more information including the blog description, the number of views it’s received through FuelMyBlog, a link to its forum, and an option for you to vote the blog up or down. Two vote metrics are taken each day, tracking daily votes, and total votes. Top blogs for each category are shown at the top of the category page.
Unlike Technorati, however, there’s no ranking system other than the options for voting a blog up or down, meaning the only measure for top blogs is based on this metric. Including an authority system would provide additional information for blog readers.”
We agree, we are working on a ranking system that works in a widget that will also help bloggers get “free stuff” to land on their doorstep to be reviewed. We will soon be launching a facebook application and of course, piloting the legal picture library for bloggers, did I mention that it pays bloggers to host the image?…
Thanks again Mashable, great review and we hope to interview you in the bloggers studio shortly.
