So today is Valentine’s Day! It is the day where we are supposed to be paying more attention to our other halves…
Pressure to please and to feel loved is on and with it comes the unavoidable “let down” factor…
Every year I am amused by the amount of heart shaped knick knacks thrown at us in magazines and shops.
Surely if I presented @kevindixie with a dish of heart shaped pasta (that’s as far as I am prepared to go) he would just take the pea! I can just imagine how unromantic the rest would be…
So this year I have decided that Valentine will have zero knock on effect on our relationship whatsoever…and I am going to be quite public about it!
As you can see we have both equally committed ourselves to Valentine this time, him by buying me a free t-shirt and I simply by wearing it all day…bliss.

We used to celebrate VD over here too..but that’s for our STD blog..
I made an iron on of Damien for my pillow case. Looking for voicebites and a motion detection MP3 player to mod it with next.

I came here after reading JC’s comment on FB!!!That big heart looks good on you!You and Kevin are a very good team!I don’t care much for Valentine’s Day.It’s a recent and imported celebration here in Portugal.But every little shop outhere must have at least a dozen red hearts decorating…and heart shaped products are on top too!!I like the postcard tradition as I’m very fond of postcards.Have a great Sunday!:))

Everyday is Valentine’s day for me! I love my wife and we have a lots and lots of compassion and understanding of each other! Ok, on V’Day we do share a few precious moments reminiscing our good old relationship!
lol Sylvie. It’s a hoot to realize how many of us just don’t get that worked up about Valentine’s Day; refreshing even! I’ve concluded that it’s really the domain of teens.

@Sylvie – Yup. I vote for helping them retain the desire to engage in all the chores and odds ‘n ends that are necessary all year rather than fuss over getting chocolates in heart shaped boxes on only one day each year.
