Ever wondered why some people are ranked number one on Google and get loads of traffic?
Ever wanted to know what SEO means and why it is so important for you, your blog and progress?
How does Digg and Stumble work, why should I care?
I have managed to grab the services of one of the best SEO people I have ever had the pleasure of working with and talking to. He showed me how to write a post to get tonnes of traffic, in the main, very sticky. The numbers I am talking about are over 300k unique viewers for a post that took me an hour to write and the SEO guy took just 10 minutes to reconstruct it and show me where I had been going wrong and what was need to get such huge numbers.
There is probably a need for a disclosure here: I have never paid him a penny, we are now friends and he is doing this as a personal favour to me – I want to give you guys something for being part of Fuelmyblog.
All I ask is this, if you have any questions about SEO, traffic, links, back links, Digg, StumbleUpon etc etc, leave a comment, he’ll select one question per week from the forum (leave them in the forum in future) to answer on here.
Believe me, it will change the way you do many things when writing blog posts.

Oh, this will be usefull!I never cared much for traffic but soon I will need to get some more traffic to my blog.I know I will have to change the way I’ve been doing it cos just posting images is not enough. Not even for me!! I read so much about it the past but traffic was not a goal for me so I think I need to update now!
So my question: which are the five basic rules to keep some steady traffic to my blog?
Thank you!!:)

I hope that your chum keeps things very simple and doesn’t give too much information all at once – some people are slower on the uptake than others ……. just sayin’ …..
Ok, I’ll bite.
My question (posted here and in the forum) is… w
What is the most important change a person can make in the writing of their posts, that will bring more traffic?
Actually Kevin, I’m not sure if this is the right approach. I mean… the person who doesn’t know what they’re doing wrong… also then doesn’t know what questions to ask.
this is great!
I guess traffic attracts traffic and the words you use may attract traffic as well. If you are talking about blue fish and someone is looking for that on google maybe they will find you. This is in general for web sites. I have 2 questions
1. What’s the best simple way to increase traffic to your website
2. How does it work for blogs? Any special tip?
Thanks for the opportunity Kevin!
This is good, cause I’m so tired of trying to wave a wand over my laptop like Fracas told me to. The honey and feathers didn’t work either, so don’t nobody fall for that gag, K?
how should we tag our posts?
Ok I use Blogger. My question is, are the labels tags or do we need to tag it differently for technorati?
Ok John…
1) It’s a magic wand you’re supposed to use, so whatever ‘wand’ you’re waving over your laptop… I have no idea but that’s probably why it’s not working.
2) I said tar and feathers… and it was the little doll of the person whose traffic you want you’re supposed to use… not honey.
3) Gee. Can someone please help him out with this SEO stuff already? My blood-pressure goes up too high when I have to help him. {{Sheesh… men just don’t listen when we talk, do they?}}
