With Valentine’s day just round the corner, I felt it compulsory to ask you a few questions – REMEMBER honesty is key…
1- How old were you when you had your first kiss?
2-Your worst Valentine’s present?

1. 18, after senior prom, and it was French. Talk about surprising. Afterwards, the girl told me to leave and never come back. Equally surprising.
2. Finding out my ex had paired with a complete scumbag and declared their love on VDay. Lovely.
3. Taken a blanket, bottle of wine, and a candle and hiked to an overlook of a waterfall in a closed park at 11pm and had some time with my sweetie in the moonlight.
4. I suppose “ultimate” is pretty subjective, but I wouldn’t mind having a date with Julia Stiles. Would it include shagging like rabbits afterwards?
5. Uhm…whew. I dunno. A week? Two? Something like that. I’m married, ya know.

1- 59 – actually it was someone giving me mouth-to mouth resuscitation after I made the mistake of running for the bus.
2-I gave the TG an iron and a pile of washing.

I don’t think I’ve ever received a Valentine’s present.

I rode through Paris in a sports car with the wind in my hair. (Wait, that was Lucy Jordan… okay, my life sucks.)

I rather like September 4th, but you know… almost any day in (early) October is good for me too.
5-When was the last time you kissed?

Better late than never:
1. About 11 – lips closed, very chaste but neither of us dared do anything more!
2. Not a present a card, it contained the rhyme:
“Roses are red and ready for plucking
I’m nearly sixteen and ready for…..”
It was unsigned and left me in a pubescent fever that I’ve never recovered from – I never did find out who it was from.
3. I used to cycle 10 miles with the spare car key just to leave flowers on the seat of someone’s car for when she came out of work.
4. Ultimate date? Tough one, I’m usually disappointed when I meet people I’ve admired from afar. But I did have a bit of a thing about Alys Fowler, the Gardeners World head gardener, last year.
5. Kissed? I often kiss.
