    1. Who is the most influential person (in your opinion) that you follow on Twitter?

Hard to say, follow a range of people for a number of reasons. Possibly @jeffpulver because he has more time to answer tweets. I unfollowed a lot of those didn’t converse much.

(Leave the @username in the comments)
    2. Do you follow any celebrities on Twitter, if so, who?

Yep, Richard Branson, John Cleese and there’s one other. Stephen Fry I think. Might have unfollowed one or two of them too.

    3. Do you post your blog links in Twitter?

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. It depends on whether it’s adding to what I normally tweet about or whether it’s taking away from the conversation and producing noise.

    4. Have you ever actually answered the question, What are you doing?

Yes, but I’ve often thought the twitter t-shirt is wrong.

    5. Do you blog less now you Twitter?

I blog more, as a matter of fact. That’s because the community I am following tends to blog quite a bit due to their line of work.

  20. Richard (43 comments) says:

    OK here goes, from @richard_barley

    1) I wouldn’t say anyone was really influential, but there are lots of people like @problogger, @paulcarr & @charlesarthur always have interesting stuff to say

    2) Oh yeah, the usual… @stephenfry, @wossy, @johncleese. not many REAL ones around yet :)

    3) yes, twitterfeed sends a tweet every time I blog. I get quite a bit of traffic that way

    4) i think when i started i tended to just answer that question, but now less so. Now it’s just a box to be filled in with whatever comes to mind…

    5) No i dont think so, but the tweeting does help to fill in the gaps between blog posts asthere tends to be longer between posts these days.

On the subject of Twitter, I would heartily recommend people make use of a desktop client such as Tweetdeck (or Twhirl) if you are serious about starting to use Twitter. It makes it so much easier to follow what is going on. I use TweetDeck and it really helps to be able to keep on top of the conversations you are interested in without having to keep visiting the website and refreshing the page.
