I haven’t posted a feature here in a terribly long time, so you must know that this is nothing short of the kind of emergency situation whereupon in the past, some annoying siren and a test pattern would show up on your television screen, followed by an emergency notice of monumental importance.
I have no choice but to interrupt your regularly scheduled blogging and fueling to share this news.
Today is Be Nice to Daddy Papersurfer Day!
Yes.. it is.
I declared it to my fuelroll two days ago and have since issued a challenge and a request to the blogizens of the interweave.
I realize this might be difficult for all of us to manage, what with our propensity to tease, cajole, rib and snigger at the old git and so in his place, please feel free to tease, cajole, rib and snigger at John C. I’m sure he won’t mind. He and the old git seem to have some kind of rapport. There are days when I think they even share the same thought.
(Usually to tease, cajole, rib and snigger at me.)
I now return you to your normally scheduled blogging or fueling… and if you haven’t done any fueling today, then what the heck is wrong with you? Smarten up. Get to it!

I would’ve loved to have posted this hours ago, but alas… the elder fraccy child is moving out of the fraccy mansion today and the day has just gotten away from me. I truly was searching last night and trying to do the post up last night but again, sorting out which boxes were the lad’s to take and which boxes were the ones the fraccy millions were stored in (can’t let the lad leave with the fortune now, can we?) had me and my hernia a bit worse for the wear.
I’m sure DP understands that he gets a full 24 hours of nice… from the time on the post… which means in his neck of the woods, he gets to enjoy DP Day on the 2nd too!
This makes me feel very insecure ……..

Oh jeebers you folks. It hasn’t been 24 hours yet and you all must still be nice to him. I posted my post at 1:05 pm (my time) and you must all be nice to him until 24 hours from then.
I am ignoring some people who always think evil of me. I happen to know I’m as pure as the driven (and plowed) snow. If there’s even a one among ya who understands Canadians, you’ll know what that means.
(And of course Sylvie and 70s are always perfect, so there can be no question of them.)
