More on the competition here.
We will be running this competition until the 15th August and the rules could not be simpler:
~Register with PicApp.com and use up to two photographs per posts between now and August, the fueler with the most Picapp images wins.
PicApp offers a free service to bloggers by delivering free, legal and high quality images to illustrate post contents. The images available are constantly updated, so if you were to post about a soccer match for example you would be immediately able to find a picture of that very same game!
Note that PiccApp.com is compatible with all major blog hosting companies including Wordpress.org and is currently working on making it available to Wordpress.com
Your questions and feedback are welcome here in the comment box or directly to PicApp good luck!

Oh wow .. excellent competition. Sign me up baby!
Just checking but you can only use one blog to enter this competition, right? I hope so to make it fair.
will they lay on a transatlantic cruise.. just asking?
@Bosslady Sylvie: Did you mean the Wordpress hosted sites can use it, and the people using Wordpress on their own URLs/Servers will be able to…eventually?
Other way around John. Wordpress.org users can use the service, but not Wordpress.com users.
I found that in the FAQ section. Though I haven’t investigated further, I suspect the reason it’s not useable on the Wordpress.com platform is becyause WP.com does not allow users anything that requires scripts.
Based on this, no Wordpress.com bloggers will be able to enter this contest.
The text editor in wordpress has an allergy to javascript and rewrites it. This was originally to stop sites posting unsuitable content popping up all over the net (it didn’t stop DP). However there are numerous work arounds for this (depending on the script) you can start by turning off the visual editor. If this doesn’t work there are plugins that will sort out the issue…
Listen to the boy ……… I have to …….
Pic app are working with Wordpress on this when it becomes availlable for Wordpress.com users I am sure they will be very happy to hold another competition
I have been following this thread and understand very little… is there a cruise as I don’t do flying!!
@70steen: Flap your arms like DP does when I tell him. You’ll go far in life. Look at his shining example.
I really want to go to BlogWorld, and I definitely can’t afford the trip this year even though I thought I’d be able to. I blame gas prices -lol-
It just says the person with the most pictures published, 2 per post …. that’s a little vague I don’t really get it.
If we all posted once a day and used 2 pictures per post we’d have the same number of pictures… is there a limit to the number of posts per day too? And only on one blog?
@Loretta: It’s only one blog per registered FMB user and but you can post as many legitimate blog posts as you want a day. Of course measures will be taken to ensure people aren’t just spamming the system to
I’d like more information on the number of pics allowed. The contest rules say no more than 2 per post, but does that mean no more than 2 pics from their website and I can’t add any additional pics from other sources or I can only use their pics (up to 2 per post) through the contest deadline?
Oh man this means I’d have to like blog 10+ times each day with these images! I lost already! =(
yes, question about transatlantic flights is interesting
@Corinna: Pic App will be looking at the total of images used from their library but you can still use your own images they just won’t count that’s all
70 and Ewa…sorry it will have to be flights tickets only

Thanks Sylvie,
I was worried that if I posted 2 PicApp photos in a post, and then additional non-PicApp photos in the same post, that I would be disqualified.
Thanks for clearing that up!
@ penfold – That might apply to blogs using the wordpress.org wordpress platform, but not the wordpress.com users. Wordpress.com does not allow javascript at all and there is no workaround.
My fracas blog is a wordpress.com while my new fraccers.com site is using the wordpress.org. I can vouch for the fact that wordpress.com doesn’t allow any javascript at all, regardless of whether you use the visual editor or not.
