This post is part of a series of interviews highlighting Fuelmyblog bloggers and their blogs. If you would like to be interviewed as part of this series simply add your name to the comments on this blog post or drop an email to paul (at)

· What’s your name?

My name is Celeste. I live in Georgia USA

· What’s the name of your blog?

I have 2 blogs that I write in, My Day and Thoughts and C’s Life

· What’s the URL of your blog? http://journals.aol.com/csandhollow/Mydayandthoughts http://celeste-cslife.blogspot.com

· How old is your blog?

My Day and Thoughts was started April 15, 2004. C’s Life was started Feb. 23, 2007

· If you’re willing to share, how many visitors per day do you have to your blog?

On average I get 10 -20 visitors a day

· How much time do you spend blogging every week?

When it comes to writing a post I spend anywhere from 5 to 10 hours a week. Reading blogs adds at least another 10 hours a week.

· Is it the creative process or the editing process which take you longest when writing a post?

I have to say the creative process takes the longest. I do not do much editing other than spell check and Firefox makes that easy!  Back in high school and college I usually ended up turning in my first draft of papers I had to write. If I edited them I was not satisfied with the results. I usually made top marks with any of my papers. Now if  I am dealing with photos, that is is when the major editing comes into play. 5 megapixel photos are very slow to load.

· What inspired you to first start writing a blog?

A friend of mine on POGO.com introduced me to the world of online journals. I created my own journal that day. I saw a blank page waiting for me to fill with letters.

· What do you do to get inspired to write?

To get inspired to write all I basically have to do is just sit in front of my computer and the words fall out of my fingertips. I look around at my life and the events happening in it and the words come.

· Is there anything that you simply refuse to blog about?

Politics is a touchy subject. I tend to stay away from that one. I will not talk about who I endorse because frankly I do not want the elements it attracts. I might voice my disagreement with certain decisions made by the idiots and sometimes I agree with the idiots (yep that’s right, politicians are idiots)

If you went for a job interview and were told that you’d have to close your blog in order to get the job, how would you react/feel about it? I would go private if it was a job I really wanted. I have over 4 years of tears, laughter, heartache and joy invested in my blog. No way will it go away. Even if I were to go private, 4 years of pages, over 3000 entries are out there on the world wide web!

· Do you talk about your blog with your relatives and friends or do you avoid mentioning it?

I don’t talk about it. They know it is there. Some read it, some don’t. Some will ask if I will blog about something that has happened.

· What is the biggest mistake you made when starting your blog? LOL Typing in small print. When I had trouble reading my own writing it is a big problem!

· Any tips for aspiring bloggers?

Be honest. If the stories are made up let it be know up front. Make the font size and color readable. Make sure the font does not blend into the background too much. Leave your link when you comment on other blogs. Don’t just pop in and say Hi read me. That is just plain rude. Post photos or graphics.

· What 3 bloggers do you look up to the most?

Pam  of Just Ones Girls Head Noise http://journals.aol.co.uk/his1desire/JustOneGirlsHeadNoiseUK/ Pam is no longer with us. The cancer she was fighting won in the end.

Wordless Wednesday is another. http://www.wordlesswednesday.com/. It inspires me to find a photo that others will find interesting. maybe it is not exactly a blogger but it is a blog of sorts.

Last is one I have found recently daddy papersurfer http://blog.papersurfer.co.uk/blog. I have not been commenting but it is truly a joy to read.

· Do you still see yourself blogging in 5 years time?

As a matter of face I do. Blogging serves as my outlet. It is my space. Here I can say as much or as little as I want.

Once again another interesting interview……. good idea Paul!

[Celeste - lovely to meet a 'stalker' and one who's priorities I recognise - "My name is Celeste. I live on a small farm in Georgia. Living life the best I can. There are horses, dogs, cats and kids in the mix. Oh yes, and a hubby too!" - us 'hubbies' are way down the food chain - tee hee]
