Updates galore for commenting

Comments Since we’ve launched the new Fuelmyblog blog, we’ve been working hard to fix bugs and the add new features.

The eagle eyed among you may have noticed some new additions to how commenting works here over the past 24 hours.

First up is the inclusion of more avatar support, so if you have an associated with your email address on any of the following services, Gravatar, MyBlogLog, OpenAvatar, then it should automatically display when you comment here.

Next up is for all you twitter addicts! See that little grey arrow next to the date of a post comment. Click it and magically a link to the comment and the comment authors name will appear in the comment box so people can click and see exactly what comment you are replying to.

Finally we’ve added a way for you to stay up to date with the comments on your favorite posts.

If you leave a comment and want to know if anybody has replied to you without having to keep coming back to the post, just click on the “Subscribe to comments” box under the submit button and you’ll be sent an email whenever anybody leaves a reply.

You can always come back and unsubscribe from posts later.

I hope these updates make commenting here a little more intuitive and user friendly.

We’ll be rolling out more updates over the next few days…

FYI: We need to redirect the fuelmyblog.blogspot.com crowd HERE, or place a ‘So long, and thanks for all the fish’ entry to tell people where we are.

Last entry was the June 24th there…some readers always came to the blog, rather than the link through the FMB portal.
