When Paul came back from SOBCon08 not only did he manage to run a great blogger evening meet up and a number of interviews (more coming from Paul soon) but he also came back with some little goodies that we would like to share with you!

Paul was very lucky to meet Lorelle VanFossen an established blogger /human blogging bible and Wordpress expert. Lorelle kindly gave Paul a couple of signed copies of her book “Blogging Tips”.

We would like to offer you a chance to win one of the two copies we have. To play, simply email us a post (or leave a link to one in the comments) about your top ten blogging tips, we will then publish your post on this blog linking to your own blog. We’ll then ask Lorelle to pick her two favorite posts. If you are new to blogging and don’t feel you can give any tips yet but would love to qualify to win a book simply write a post on the reasons why you think you should win! Whether you are new to blogging or not is rather irrelevant in my opinion, this book is simply well worth reading and full of tips and help!

What are your top ten blogging tips? We want to hear them ;)

I’m assuming that you don’t want to know my tips …… unless you do the opposite I suppose …… mmmmmm? that might work.

Oh Sylvie…another wonderful idea. And we have until the first.

Walter and I are rolling right now and typing is nearly impossible.

But we are getting one stop by home for one day this week-end.

If I have time while there I will try to get this one done!!

    Sure, I’ll give ten:

    1) Post every day. Even if you don’t have a complete post, write down your thoughts.

    2) Don’t include too many advertisements. If you have advertisements make sure they are relevant to your blogs content.

    3) Respond to peoples comments on your blog.

    4) Don’t assume every comment sent to you which you don’t like is spam. There are a lot of people with very different opinions of their own.

    5) If you are reviewing something it is not a bad idea to include either a video or picture of the subject you are reviewing at the beginning of your posts.

    6) Review your affiliate products in posts and sell them at the end of the posts. Keep your reviews honest.

    7) Join webrings that specialize in what you are writing about.

    8) It is very important to have a 125 pixel by 125 pixel picture which you can use to represent your blog on different sites like Fuelmyblog, Blogcatalog, and other social networking sites.

    9) Know your audience well enough to choose appropriate content and decide its rating before you start posting content. Is your blog family friendly, restricted, etc.

    10) Your blog is international and can be read from people anywhere in the world. When you are writing realize that you are speaking to people from many different places.
